Top 5 differences between Jawa and Jawa Forty-Two

Classic Legends has finally debuted one of India’s most loved brand, Jawa.

Classic Legends has finally debuted one of India’s most loved brand, Jawa. The launch happened yesterday but the company managed to build up some hype just days before the launch to create the excitement. A total of three bikes from the brand means the India buyers have a wider option list. The Jawa, Jawa Forty-Two and the Jawa Perak will be sold across 100 showrooms. While the Perak will hit showrooms a little later, the Jawa and the Jawa Forty-Two will start sales soon. To make things easy for you, we tell you the top differences between the Jawa and the Jawa Forty-Two.

1: Aesthetics

That’s the major difference between the two bikes. The Jawa’s design dates back to the model that was the craze a few decades ago. The colour, the body panels and the chrome reminds us of the Jawa in the 60s. The idea of this bike was to create a model that will resemble the older model in terms of styling. The Forty-Two on the other hand, is the modern interpretation of the Czech brand. So it gets better looking body panels, vibrant colours and loses out on chrome.

2: Clocks

Both the bikes get old-school instrument cluster but the one on the Jawa is integrated on the headlamp assembly. The design is minimalistic as it gets only speedometer and fuel-indicator in analog form. The one on the Forty-Two is slightly fancier as it gets an integrated small LCD display that also shows odometer and tripmeter.

3: Rear-view mirrors

The Jawa gets the traditional mirrors which get chrome finish. The Forty-Two is equipped with bar-end mirrors with blacked-out cover.

4: Handlebar

The Jawa gets the typical chrome-laden handlebar that has been designed to offer relaxed riding position. The Forty-Two on the other hand gets a wider blacked-out handlebar.

5: Pricing

The Forty-Two is the most affordable Jawa in India at Rs 1.55 lakhs while the Jawa is priced higher at Rs 1.64 lakhs. Prices are ex-showroom.
