Jawa Perak Bobber’s Launch Date Confirmed To Be Sometime Towards The End Of 2019

Jawa Perak Bobber’s Launch Date Confirmed To Be Sometime Towards The End Of 2019

Jawa Motorcycles marked its return to the Indian market back in November 2018 with the launch of two new products: Jawa 42 and 'Jawa'; priced at Rs 1.55 lakh and 1.64 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi), respectively. In addition to this duo, the Czech-origin brand owned by Mahindra & Mahindra introduced another motorcycle - the Jawa Perak.

The Jawa Perak instantly became the center of attraction at the event thanks to its eye-catching aesthetics and the desirability factor of being the most affordable bobber-style motorcycle in India. Even though the Jawa Perak was not launched, its price was confirmed to be Rs 1.89 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).

To know more about the most affordable bobber to be sold in India, we recommend you check out the first-look review of the Jawa Perak. We will be sharing a detailed first ride review once we get our hands on one; of course, after it is launched.

Being a bobber, the Perak sports only one seat and might not be the most practical choice you can make. It represents a unique breed of motorcycles in a modern avatar. On the other hand, the 'Jawa' and 'Jawa 42' are desirable every-day classics that can be considered as a good alternative to the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

If you wish to find out which among the three is best suited for you, check out our brief Jawa 42 vs 'Jawa' vs Jawa Perak comparison. Each of these motorcycles have a character of its own.

The Jawa Perak is powered by a 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes close to 30bhp and 31Nm of torque. This is mated to a six-speed transmission. With the short-cut twin-exhaust system, the Perak should sound good as well (despite being a single-cylinder motorcycle).

The 'Jawa' and Jawa 42 promise an average mileage figure of 30-35km/l. The Jawa Perak, being slightly more powerful, could return lesser mileage.

The engine is basically an improved version of the 293cc unit that powers the 'Jawa' and Jawa 42. The 293cc unit pushes out 27bhp and 28Nm while mated the same six-speed gearbox.
