Jawa Motorcycles to Start Deliveries in India by April 2019

Jawa Motorcycles has registered its comeback to biking world on November 15, 2018, with the launch of its three flagships models- the Jawa, Jawa Forty-Two and the Jawa Perak. Out of them, the first two were officially launched on the same day and put for pre-bookings. While the last one will emerge later in time. Reportedly, Jawa Motorcycles managed to earn bookings till Sept 2019 in its first phase of bookings with less than 40 days. The buyers are now eagerly waiting for the deliveries.

Jawa Motorcycles when asked via a Twitter user “Are Jawa motorcycles well tested? Heard Mahindra launched it in a hurry !” the company answered – “Rest assured, you can never go wrong with a Jawa! We are beginning deliveries in March-April for customers who booked in Nov 2018. Do stay tuned.”

Even though, it had already been made clear from the Classic Legends that the deliveries will commence late since the bikemaker were willing to pass the best quality products to its potential customers. This aspect will only be configured when the deliveries against bookings start. Albeit the audience is excited to have hands-on bikes with the old school charm and it would be a right move from the company of ramping up the production process.

Until now, no official date is revealed from Jawa that when will the deliveries start. Albeit from a Twitter response, it has been confirmed that the first Jawa Motorcycles will be handed over to customers by April 2019, after a six-month duration post-launch.

Still, it is welcome news for those who are waiting for six months to have hands on their favourite bike. The motorcycles have started approaching dealerships though as of now there are only demo bikes which are also expected to be pre-production variants. Other than this, the test ride bikes are expected to hit dealerships sometimes around the deliveries about to begin.

FYI, the manufacturing of Jawa Motorcycles is being handled at the brand’s Pithampur facility located near Indore. Furthermore, the motorcycles which will be delivered in April will be equipped with a single channel ABS unit. While the deliveries for the models with dual channel ABS will be provided after June 2019.
