Jawa motorcycles launch in three variations beginning at Rs 1.55 lakhs

Classic Legends has launched the Jawa range of motorcycles. It is isolated into three models, the Jawa (Rs 1.56 lakhs), the Jawa Forty-Two (Rs 1.64 lakh), and the Jawa Perak ‘factory custom’ (Rs 1.89 lakh). All costs are ex-showroom.

The Jawa and Jawa Forty Two share their powertrain – a 293cc fluid cooled single barrel DOHC motor that is packaged into a twofold cradle chassis. The motor generates 27bhp and 28Nm and goes through a 6-speed gearbox. The front wheel is an 18-inch edge while the rear is a 17 inch one. With regards to its retro looks, the tires aren’t wide – the front is a 90/90 – 18 while the rear is a 120/80 – 17. Braking is given by a 280mm front plate brake with a floating caliper and the rear brake adheres to its retro brief, being a 153mm drum brake. Single channel ABS is standard. The Jawas weigh 170kg and the tank capacity is 14 liters, which should give them range on par with the opposition. The Jawa will be available in three hues – maroon, gray and black. The Forty Two will be available in six hues – red, dark blue, light blue, matte blue, green, and light green. The Forty Two is a cutting-edge classic, which separates itself from the standard Jawa with the hues, bar-end mirrors, balanced instrument bunch and a marginally unique riding position. Appointments have opened on the web, and there are 105 Jawa dealers across the nation. Conveyances will start early one year from now.

The Jawa Perak has a 334cc fluid cooled single-chamber motor that generates 30bhp and 31Nm, and appointments haven’t opened yet.
