Jawa and Jawa Forty Two deliveries commence in India

Jawa Motorcycles earlier announced that the deliveries of the both the Jawa and Forty Two will begin by end of March. The resurrected brand has stuck to their promise as the deliveries have begun and finally, we can see both the motorcycle on the roads now. An auction was also organized to raise funds for the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. The brand also shared this information on their social media platforms.

The deliveries of the motorcycles will be done as per the booking sequence received by the brand in the pre-booking phase that started on November 15, 2018. Jawa has received an enthusiastic response from the motorcycling fraternity as they exceeded their pre-booking limit and are full till September 2019. Now, this kind of response means that the brand has to establish an extensive network of service centres and dealerships.

Classic Legends are aware of this fact and have established 95 dealerships across 77 cities (Both Tier 1 and Tier 2) to provide the customers with seamless after-sales support. In an earlier communication, Jawa announced that in the initial phase they'll be establishing a network of 100 dealerships. As mentioned above, Jawa also organized an auction to raise funds for the Armed Force Flag Day Fund in which bidders got to choose a chassis number from 1 to 100. The special motorcycles had a tricolour livery on the fuel tank and a custom made fuel-tank cap with owner's name. The auction raised around Rs. 1.43 crore, this sum will be used for educating the children of the fallen soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces.

On the launch day, Jawa also showcased the Perak - a bobber styled motorcycle and we expect the brand to launch it soon as they have met the deadlines set for the deliveries of Jawa and Forty Two. Both the Jawa and Forty Two are powered by the same 293 cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. The motor is capable of churning out 27 bhp and 28 Nm of max torque. The DOHC motor is married to a 6-speed gearbox. Jawa will also be offering the dual-channel ABS variants of both the motorcycles, once, the single-channel ABS equipped motorcycles are delivered.
