Jawa officially inaugurated its dealership in Ludhiana at Industrial Area-A, Dholewal this Wednesday, January 6. Mahindra & Mahindra Subsidiary Classic Legends on 15th November 2018, re-launched the company in India. During the launch the company officials announced that they will be opening dealerships all across the country. The plan was to start with 105 dealerships across India and then increase it further.
The Ludhiana showroom owned by Shree Dadu Dayal Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. was inaugurated in the presence of Ashish Joshi, CEO of Classic Legends. Jawa and Yezdi motorcycle club and Royal Enfield motorcycle club of the city, also attended the inauguration event.
The company has priced the motorcycles very precisely. The Classic Jawa model is priced at Rs 1.65 Lakh ex showroom and the Jawa Forty Two at Rs 1.55 Lakh.
The legendary Jawa is available in three colors; Maroon, Black and Grey with loads of chrome. Jawa Forty Two, another model with sporty looks appealing more to the youth. This is available in six colors which are Starlight Blue, Halley’s Teal, Lumos Lime, Comet Red, Nebula Blue and Galactic Green. The motorcycle is available in both Single Channel and dual Channel ABS braking system.
However, same engine powers both the motor cycle variants. A 293 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve, fuel-injected motor that produces 27bhp of power and 28Nm of peak torque. The BS-VI complaint motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Jawa had bookings till September 2019 and the deliveries will commence around March 2019. Company had carried forward the retro look from its old model attracting the Jawa enthusiasts and giving them a feel of the past.
