Inspired by the design of the two-stroke Jawa motorcycles from the bygone era, the new-generation Jawa 350 is a perfect throwback to those motorcycles. The round-themed headlamp, fuel tank, engine casing and round-edged side body panels are an ode to the original Jawa 250 from the yesteryears.
In addition to either side of the fuel tank, the new Jawa 350 has chrome touches present over the surrounds for the headlamp, tail lamp, instrument console, rearview mirrors, engine casing and exhaust pipes. All these chrome-bathed components make the Jawa 350 lend it a premium appearance.
The new Jawa 350 follows the suite of neo-retro motorcycles Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles by offering a unique dual exhaust pipe setup for its single-cylinder engine. This setup of dual exhausts gives the Jawa 350 a big-bike appeal.
Powering the new Jawa 350 is an all-new single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 334cc engine, which is shared with othetorcycles from Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles. With 22.57 PS and 28.1 Nm on tap, there is no lack of performance and punch while riding a Jawa 350.
Along with the maroon and black colour options already offered in the previous-generation Jawa, there is a third new colour choice in the form of Mystique Orange. All these three colours go well with the elegant retro and modern design of the new Jawa 350.
The Jawa 350 has an accessible seat height of 790mm, which is aptly balanced for both short-heightened and tall riders. Along with a well-balanced seat height, the Jawa 350 also gets a slightly upright posture for the handlebar, making riding the motorcycle comfortable enough for short and long rides.
The Jawa 350 gets 35mm telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable coil springs at the rear for its suspension setup, which has been tuned optimally for a plush ride quality over short and long-distance riding.
Compared to the previous-generation Jawa, the 17-inch spoke wheels of the Jawa 350 now get wider tyres at both ends – a 100/90-18 tyre at the front and a 130/80-17 tyre at the rear. With wider tyres, the Jawa 350 feels even more sure-footed over stretches and corners.
For a safe braking experience, the new Jawa 350 has disc brakes at both ends – a 280mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
While the previous-generation Jawa was available with dual-channel ABS only as an option, the new Jawa offers it as a part of the standard equipment.
